Scott Wendt is the father of Nicole, primarily coached by Calla, who skates every weekday afternoon and on Saturday mornings during the freestyle sessions. Scott is in his third year with club board leadership, having served as the Vice President of the Central Florida FSC for the 2020/21 season, prior to joining with Paula and Keith to create the Figure Skating Club of Osceola (and joining the inaugural year board). He’s spent the last 16 years as a software development manager, and prior to that as a firefighter/paramedic in Wisconsin, as well as many years with NMCB25 (US Navy Seabee Construction Force). My name is Oscar Vargas and I have been a part of the board in the role of secretary for the club since 2021. I enjoy being part of the club and volunteering in the activities at the rink as well as meeting other people that share the interest for skating. I am Natalie's brother and we have been coming to the ice factory since early 2018 when she started in the learn to skate program and have been very involved on her skating journey.
I am Ana Krempel, and my daughter Catarina Krempel is a skater at the club. We are from Sao Paulo, Brazil. My husband’s job brought us to the USA in 2016. We lived in southern Indiana, where Catarina discovered ice skating, for the first 3 years and moved to Central Florida 3 years ago. Catarina finished her learn to skate program in 2019, and after the lock down in 2020 we came to the Ice Factory. I served as the treasurer last year board term and will continue to do so this year. I am an engineer by education, with MBA in business, and worked 15 years in marketing and planning at multibillion dollar corporations. Since we moved to the US, I have been dedicating my time to my two girls, Catarina and Estela.
My daughter has been skating at The Ice Factory since November 2018. She became interested in competitive skating by the following spring. Now, you can find us at the rink daily during the week and sometimes on Saturdays. I am a certified elementary education teacher and have been homeschooling Kelsie her entire school career. We love to travel and learn about new places and events in history. Last year, I became a board member for our club and began serving as the club test chair. I am looking forward to continuing this role for the new membership year.
Jessica Buchele is extremely excited to be joining the board of Figure Skating Club of Osceola. She has a BFA in Theatre Design/Technology, with a Stage Management emphasis, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Communications, New Media and Marketing. Jessica looks forward to learning more about skating and supporting the Club as it continues to grow.
